Thanks for the kind words

April 10th, 2010

I would just like to say thank you to everyone who has sent me king words about my career.

I have been very lucky to meet so many nice people along the way. That is why I don’t feel I could ever leave the cycling scene.
We all get frustrated or fed-up some times, but nearly all of us return. I’ve wanted to quit many times, but have always come back. I no doubt will get frustrated and fed-up coaching every now and then, but I know that in my heart it’s what I want to do.
The saying “Giving is better than receiving”, is so very true. I get more joy from teaching someone something than doing well in a race now, and I think that’s when you know when your ready to retire.
I can’t wait to get my teeth stuck into my next role and help give someone the chance of following in my footsteps.
I will be very proud if I do!

Take care, and I’m sure I’ll see you at a track one day.

Jamie
